Retired from the NFL due to
concussions suffered during a successful career
with the Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams and
Denver Broncos. Drafted by the Falcons in the
first round of the 1987 draft. In 1992, led the
NFL in passing yards and touchdowns before knee
surgery in week eight. Threw for more than 3,000
yards and 26 touchdowns in 1991 and led the
Falcons to the playoffs for the first time since
1982. In 1994 threw for 2,104 yards and 16
touchdowns in 13 games for the Rams. All PAC-10
quarterback while at the University of Oregon.
