Greg Joelson -
Retired NFL Pro & Actor

Greg Joelson is no
stranger to the limelight. After his successful
career as a linebacker for such teams as the San
Francisco 49er’s and the San Diego Chargers, Greg
used his business savvy to run the Edgewater family
of inns, a string of successful hotels among some of
Oregon’s most scenic regions. For the last few
years, he has been tackling the profession of actor
with the same head-on approach.
Greg’s eighth film, DARK HEART, debuts at the
Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival
this month. The story of a returning hero and his
fight to survive in the homeland he fought to
defend, DARK HEART is sure to set the festival
circuit ablaze with its timely story, intense
characters, and many twists and turns.
DARK
HEART also marks the beginning of yet another career
for Greg, that of producer. Working as an actor with
director Kevin Lewis on numerous projects, Greg
spent many hours with the production crew, absorbing
all the knowledge he could. It dawned on him one day
that the work of a producer is a lot like that of a
real estate developer, just a different language.
Greg learned the language fast and DARK HEART rolled
into production, with Arts & Letters Entertainment
partnering with Greg’s own Forgotten Productions.
Greg
will soon be seen in A CHRISTMAS TOO MANY, with the
legendary Mickey Rooney, and IN THE SHADOW OF THE
COBRA, with Sean Young and Rutger Hauer. Other
features include the hilarious mockumentary about
mockumentaries, TO KILL A MOCKUMENTARY, and THE DROP
with John Savage. He made his television debut on
ORT-TV’s (first international series in Russia)
FORCE OF ONE with Rodion Nahapetov, Russia’s #1 male
star.
With
the intensity of an athlete, Greg kept the summer of
2005 moving forward with lead roles in the upcoming
indie films, THE 3rd NAIL, directed by Kevin Lewis
and starring Charles Dutton, and LOVING ANNABELLE,
helmed by prolific television director Katherine
Brooks. Greg is currently in pre-production as both
producer and actor in another film collaboration
with Kevin Lewis, the science fiction thriller,
HOST.
With
a growing list of credits and projects, Greg Joelson
continues to push forward in the entertainment
world.
