Vencie Glenn -

Glenn was an
outstanding defensive player for the Sycamores from
1982-85. He currently holds the ISU school record
for career interceptions with 17 and also holds the
school record for the longest interception return
for a touchdown of 100 yards set in 1984 against
Wayne State. He garnered three top awards in his
final season with Indiana State. Glenn was named a
First-Team AFCA/Kodak All-America (I-AA) in 1985 as
well as receiving First Team All-Missouri Valley
honors. He was also named the MVC's Defensive Player
of the Year. He was selected to the Blue-Gray Game
in 1985 and played in the Senior Bowl in 1986. He
was selected by the New England Patriots in the
second round of the NFL draft in '86 but never
played for them. Glenn played 12 years in the NFL
with the San Diego Chargers, New York Giants,
Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints and Oakland
Raiders. He owns the current NFL record for the
longest interception return for a touchdown of 103
yards set against the Denver Broncos in 1987. Glenn
is currently living in California and is the color
analyst for the San Diego Chargers' radio
broadcasts.
