Out of Shady Cove Oregon.  Mr. Maurer was discovered by University of Oregon and recevied a scholarship.  In 1970 the Atlanta Falcons drafted this Southern OR project and he went on to play 8 seasons in the NFL.  Andy did play into 2 Super bowls over the 8 years.  He played for the Atlanta Falcons, New Orelenes Saints, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos.  In 1975 with the Minnesota Vikings, and again in 1977 with the Denver Broncos.  Unfortunately to some the elusive Championship ring escaped him being on the other side each time.  Today he wears those runner up rings to remind him it's not about Football and it's all about relationships.  He and his family resides in the Rogue Valley and he works as a Marriage Counselor to many.  He still has a competitive edge and loves teaching, molding, and caring about young people.  He is the Head Football Coach at Cascade Christian.  Mr. Maurer is a very humble Godly man.
